Second release from the artist from Santa Monica, California. The song “Tom’s Diner”, which would be known as much for the dance remix released a few years later, was also used, in it’s original a capella form, as a test song in the early development of MP3 technology, earning Vega the honorific, “The Mother of the MP3”. The album reached 11 on the Billboard 200, & number 5 on the Canadian album charts. It’s also been certified platinum in both the US & Canada.
