Soundtrack album from the film The Graduate, directed by Mike Nichols. Includes two of the best known songs from Simon & Garfunkel, “The Sound Of Silence” & “Mrs. Robinson”, the latter of which was a work in progress at the time. Simon & Grusin won the Grammy for “Best Original Score Written for a Motion Picture”, “Mrs. Robinson” won for Record of the Year, while as a duo Simon & Garfunkel won Best Pop Vocal Performance. The album peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, while being certified double platinum in the US, & platinum in Canada.
