94 East featuring Prince — Minneapolis Genius

94 East was a funk group formed in 1975 by Pepe Willie, the ex-husband of Prince’s cousin. It was named for Interstate 94 which runs through Minneapolis, & fronted by dance music pioneer Colonel Abrams. This is the group’s debut release, & all their subsequent releases were variations of it. The group disbanded when Prince became a successful solo artist in his own right.
